or over 40 years, Hoot Systems has been manufacturing the finest Residential and Commercial Treatment Systems for the decentralized wastewater market. While many companies are “just getting started” we have hundreds of thousands of installations from Coast to Coast.  From our birthplace in Louisiana, notorious for poorly drained soils, we have gone into each new market with the goal of providing “solutions” to their local issues, rather than just products.  We have assembled some of the finest local precasters to manufacture and locally distribute and support our products.

Our Residential treatment equipment offerings have evolved as our concern and acknowledgement of man’s impact on the environment has been realized.  We offer four main product lines, and local variations to meet the most strict National, State and Local environmental regulations.

Our Commercial treatment equipment is not simply multiple residential units, like the other guys.  We offer a complete line of custom, site specific products to meet the demanding needs of non-typical applications.  Beginning at 1,000 GPD and going into the hundreds of thousands, Hoot offers both products and support to engineers to specify and create complete treatment solutions.

Founded in 1955, David MacLaren acted on an innovative idea. While  working closely with his father, Albert, they designed and patented an aerator for homes that would effectively treat and dispose of residential wastewater, changing the technology in the wastewater treatment business forever!
A close look at our competitors will highlight how much of an innovator we are, as most of the competing concrete tanks are modeled after our design, but they can't copy another Jet innovation, our patented BAT® media. This makes Jet the true pioneer and a leader in onsite wastewater treatment.
Jet concentrates on water pollution control, producing equipment and components for package wastewater treatment plants. Starting with a residential plant, the company refined and worked with this product so that today it is the most accepted, largest selling home plant in the country. Next, Jet added a complete line of commercial plants designed to serve factories, apartments, hospitals, service stations, trailer parks and dozens of similar installations located beyond city sewer lines.
Jet's product lines also include JET-CHLOR® Wastewater Disinfectant Systems, CHLOR-AWAY® Dechlorination Systems, BIO JET-7®, a natural, organic wastewater additive, lift stations, liquid level alarms, and control panels.
Field-proven in thousands of installations, Jet plants have successfully undergone hundreds of testing programs and performance evaluations at the local, state, and national levels.
Jet has a strong network of distributors licensed to sell, install, and service Jet Treatment Plants. Jet works with these local distributors, guiding them with training and follow-up in engineering, production, sales and office procedures. The company arranges frequent training seminars at its factory and sends factory specialists to aid the distributor in his territory. Jet prides itself on this program of close cooperation with its distributors, and credits this with being one of the major elements contributing to the distributors' success.

Salcor Inc., founded in 1978, is a market-leading specialty ultraviolet disinfection company, and our model 3G is the most successful independently tested, largest-selling onsite UV unit. Partnering with 19 treatment plant manufacturers in individual 6-month NSF tests (Standard 40 with Washington State Protocol), Salcor secured 3G approvals in numerous major states.Salcor’s 3G is the first NEMA 6P floodproof unit certified (August 2010) by Underwriters Laboratories to treat onsite effluent (residential, commercial, and municipal to 100,000 GPD), in USA and Canada. It successfully passed UL’s 30-day underwater submergence, enabling operation in ground or pump tank, eliminating above-ground control box or panel.Advanced features – unique alarm circuit, electrical surge protection, virtual electronic noise (EMI) elimination. Mounting the rugged conformal-coated circuit board underside the NEMA 6P box cover avoids condensed liquid collection and provides user-friendly access to wiring terminals. In 1997, James Cruver, PhD, Salcor founder, originated this sustainable unit with revolutionary foul-resistant Teflon® lamp covering, electronic monitoring, easy install, accessible annual maintenance, 2-year lamp, low energy usage, superior bacteria/virus “kill”, and water re-use.
